Friends of Rollo
A Fishing Program for Kids
Friends of Rollo - U. A. is an organization that introduces children to marine life and our ocean environment through its kids fishing program.
In today's world where both parents work, or where children grow up in
single parent families, many youngsters never have an opportunity to
experience marine life and the wonders of the ocean. A day at sea can
truly broaden a child's horizons.
Though we concentrate on disadvantaged, disabled, at-risk, and low income children, we take kids from all walks of life. Since our inception in 1999, we have taken over 50,000 youth fishing.
Friends of Rollo - U. A. provides a Coast Guard approved fishing vessel and all the necessary fishing equipment, along with expert instruction from the captain and crew. The crew cleans and packages the fish so children can take them home for dinner. Snacks and lunch are provided.
Sportfishing landings and boats involved in our program are headquartered at a variety of waterfront locations from San Diego to San Francisco.
