Triton fished the Island today with a nice light load of just 19 anglers. Fishing was on the slow side but we did find an area of jumbo Yellowtail that wanted to play for a bit. We went 2 for 5 on the big grade Yellows also boating 31 Legal Calico Bass, some Barracuda, Bonito and lots of Spanish Jack for Paul!

Definite go Coronado Islands trip departing tomorrow at 5:30 am. Only 5 reservations on the books but we liked what we saw yesterday with more Yellowtail in the count each day and we are going for sure! Recommended tackle: 25-pound outfit with a small sliding egg sinker and 2/0 hook for flyline Yellowtail and calico Bass and a 40-pound jig rod and your surface irons for the yellows and barracuda.

Open Party 3/4 Day Trip Good afternoon folks. Started our morning fishing for seabass but we were unlucky to get a bite. After 2 hours of staring at fish on the meter and throwing everything we had at them we switched gears and had some really good bottom fishing in the shallows. Then ended our day with a bang out in the deep water. Lots of quality reds, chucks and lings. Back out tomorrow. Total count for our 25 anglers 250 Rockfish 79 Whitefish 10 Lingcod 1 Sheephead

Heading in from a 1/2 day. We had calm seas all day. We had a slow morning but in 3rd and 4th quarter they started to bite. We caught a mix bag of fish reds and chucks and other rockfish. Our 36 anglers caught 202 rockfish 32 whitefish 1 sheephead.
We have a private trip tomorrow but room on our 1/2 day on Wednesday.

Started off our day catching a handful of yellows on the first stop. The rest of the day went pretty slow until our last spot, that was when the fun began. We went 27 for 60 plus hooked, fish were from 4 lbs to 20lbs and wanted lite line. Our final count was 35 yellows, plus some nice cuda, bass and misc perch, whitefish, etc. We had excellent mixed sized sardines and the weather could not be nicer.
We leave tomorrow at 7am.
