What your Contributions have Accomplished to Date
 
-1990:  Prop.132; Banned gillnet in near shore waters.
Results: Quality white sea bass & halibut fishing, significantly aided in the ongoing giant sea bass recovery.
 
-1992:  Banned long lines from State waters.
-2002:  Banned long lines from Federal waters.
          Results:  Quality albacore, tuna, billfish & shark fishing.
 
-2004:  S.B.1459:  Restricted bottom trawling.
           Results:  Stopped the destruction of our rock fish fishery.
 
-1994 thru present:  White Sea bass hatchery program.
            Released, last year, the one millionth tagged fish.
            Results:  Replaced every sport caught White Sea bass by four
 
-1998 thru present:  Facilitate& partner with Friends of Rollo & 976-TUNA
             Youth fishing program.
            Results:  20,000 kids taken fishing.
 
-2004:  The passage of S.B.1319, the final element of Recreational Freedom
             To Fish law.
             Results:  Establishes recreational use as a prime objective within all state waters.
